FYM Artists' Honors Recital
Festival Global Opening Ceremony Concert at Harvard University Lehman Hall

As the official launch of The 2025 Shanghai International Forte Yearly Music Festival & Competition, the Opening Ceremony Concert—co-hosted with the Harvard Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA)—will take place at Lehman Hall, Harvard University.

This unique event brings together Eastern and Western musical traditions in a powerful expression of cultural inclusivity and global artistic dialogue. From the elegant resonance of traditional Chinese instruments such as the erhu, to the timeless brilliance of Western classical repertoire performed on piano, this program reflects the festival’s core mission: fostering internationalism and promoting meaningful cultural exchange between China and the world.

Featuring outstanding artists and young talents from both sides of the Pacific, this concert marks not only the beginning of the 2025 festival season, but also a celebration of music’s power to connect cultures, transcend borders, and inspire across generations.
