Piano Faculty
A multifaceted artist, Victoria Shereshevskaya was immersed in music from an early age, guided by her mother, Rena Shereshevskaya, who trained her as a pianist. Born in Moscow and residing in France since the age of 10, Victoria graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (CNSMD Lyon). She has had the privilege of working with esteemed musicians such as François-René Duchâble, Brigitte Engerer, Vladimir Krainev, and Vera Gornostaeva.
Victoria has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral pianist across Europe, Russia, the USA, and Japan, collaborating with renowned artists such as Henri Demarquette, Alexandra Soumm, Marco Rizzi, and Kaeko Mukoyama. She has appeared at prestigious festivals, including the Festival International de Colmar, Radio France Montpellier, Nancyphonies, Saint-Ursanne, and Enghien.
Passionate about teaching and working with young musicians, Victoria began her pedagogical journey early, obtaining the highest teaching diplomas from the Conservatoires of Chantilly, Yerres, and Puteaux. She served as an assistant professor at the École Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot for eight years before joining the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève (CMG) in 2021, where she actively develops numerous projects with her students. She is also a sought-after masterclass instructor, regularly invited to Académie des Cimes (Val d’Isère), Académies du Grand Nancy, Académie du Grand Paris (Vincennes), and AIM Paris.
Victoria’s expertise has also led her to the film industry, where she has worked as a piano coach and hand double for several acclaimed French actors, including Chantal Lauby, Brigitte Fossey, Edith Scob, and Anne-Sophie Lapix.
Holistic Approach & Artistic Collaboration
With a profound interest in body awareness for musicians, Victoria has undergone a decade of training with Belgian posturologist and scenographer Anne Englebert and has further studied Yoga and Qi Gong. Her artistic collaborations extend to contemporary composers, including Guillaume Connesson, Laurent Le Provost, Lucas Debargue, and Yann Galpérine, who have dedicated works to her.
In addition to her work as a pianist and professor, Victoria is also a classically trained singer. Her debut recording, “Variations secrètes” (Klarthe label), featuring Alexandra Soumm (violin), Rémi Geniet (piano), and Yan Levionnois (cello), was released in January 2023 to critical acclaim.
Currently, Victoria Shereshevskaya is a professor at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève (CMG) in Switzerland, where she continues to shape the next generation of musicians while pursuing her diverse artistic endeavors.
